That book looks waaaay too crisp and clean. You should see my copy. Practically falling apart, stained by iced tea and fountain pen ink, and yet still oddly usable (note: I’m a neat freak about non-work related books, but work books get put through the ringer).

Unfortunately, according to this year’s Nobel prize winners, mass eigenstates of quarks are flavour superpositions (meaning this stuff will make you fat).

quantummoxie – To be honest, I don’t use Mike and Ike that much, (mainly for inquisitive background reading purposes) but you should see my copy of Horowitz and Hill ‘The Art of Electronics’ after it’s had a session in the lab 🙂 That book is a bit like a bible to me.

  5. Ha! Well, sharing an office with experimentalists has taught me one thing: they all have Nielsen and Chaung, but don’t necessarily use it the way theorists do. I suspect that if any of us theorists runs for public office they’ll want to be sworn in on it.
